Q & A:
Does Donate Good Stuff accept donation items? No. Donate Good Stuff does not physically collect donations. Use our SEARCH to find nonprofits that collect items in your area. There, you will find hundreds of organizations and all the information you need with one click including location, what they do with donations, drop-off hours (or if they offer pick up), contact info, and distance from you.
What if I can't find an organization that wants my donation? There are some great community resources for giving things away including the Buy Nothing Project, Facebook Marketplace, Freecycle, Nextdoor, or Craigslist. We also periodically write articles about specific topics about how and where to donate specific items on our Blog. Keep in mind, generally, organizations do not want items that are broken, stained, need any mending or repair, have smells, or pet fur - This is where the above links may be helpful, and you can also search around or creative upcycling ideas.
PS We are always looking to add organizations that need donations, and we continue to grow into new cities across the US. Some items are more challenging. Please let us know of organizations that are not yet listed - It will help us provide an even better search in the future!
Can my organization get listed? Yes! It is free for nonprofits to list donation needs, and takes about 5 minutes. Register HERE
